BY USING YOUR EVOLV RIDES ELECTRIC SCOOTER YOU AGREE TO THIS LIMITED WARRANTY. PLEASE READ THIS LIMITED WARRANTY CAREFULLY. IF YOU DO NOT ACCEPT THE TERMS OF THIS LIMITED WARRANTY, DO NOT USE YOUR EVOLV RIDES ELECTRIC SCOOTER. RETURN IT UNUSED FOR A REFUND. 

To benefit from the limited warranty, the customer is advised to read EVOLV Rides (“EVOLV”) Limited Warranty terms together with the “important” and “care and maintenance” sections provided in the user manual. This limited warranty applies to the extent permitted by law and unless restricted or prohibited by law. 

LIMITED WARRANTY DETAILS 

EVOLV warrants that EVOLV Electric Vehicles (“Products” or “Product”), distributed by EVOLV, are free from defects in material and workmanship.  Limited Warranty is applicable under the following terms and conditions:

  1. This Limited Warranty extends to the original purchaser (name listed on the shipping address) of the Product only, during the first twelve (12) months or first 3000 km, whichever comes first, beginning on the date the purchaser received the Product (“Warranty Period”). An original purchase receipt is required to proceed with warranty repairs.
  2. This Limited Warranty is terminated on the first day of the second year of ownership, when the scooter mileage reaches 3001 km, or when the scooter is resold to another individual. This Limited Warranty is non-transferable.
  3. This Limited Warranty covers the following component parts (“Components”) of the Product only, during the Warranty Period:
  • Hub motor;
  • Battery packs;
  • Controller;
  • Throttle and battery indicator unit;
  • Charger unit;
  • Scooter frame;
  • Scooter stem;
  • LED lights; and
  • Electrical wiring and components.

The following components are covered only if defects are reported within the first 30 days or 10 KM of use (whichever comes first):

  • Rims
  • Brake calipers
  • Brake discs
  • Kickstand 
  • Forks
  1. During the Warranty Period, EVOLV or its authorized service centres will repair or replace, at EVOLV’s SOLE DISCRETION, any defective Components with new or factory rebuilt replacement items, and return the Products to the customer in working condition, provided that the terms and conditions of this Limited Warranty are met. All defective Products or Components that have been replaced shall become the properties of EVOLV.
  2. Products and/or components that have been repaired or replaced pursuant to the paragraph above will be covered by this Limited Warranty for the balance of the Warranty Period.
  3. This Limited Warranty will only be effective when presented together, to either EVOLV or its authorized centers, with proof of date and place of purchase of Products such as the purchase receipt. 

WHAT THIS LIMITED WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER:

  • Normal wear and tear of any covered component.
  • Products used for commercial purpose(s) including but not limited to leasing/hiring, use in competitions etc
  • Any logistical costs of returning the Product to EVOLV or its authorized service centres for servicing or the cost of returning the Product to the customer after servicing.
  • Defects or damages resulting from the use of the Product(s) other than its normal and customary manner as stated in the user manuals accompanying the Products.
  • Battery failures resulting from water damage (including exposure to moisture or dampness), improper charging, power surges, aftermarket chargers, lack of proper winter storage, seals of the battery enclosure or cells being broken or tampered with, and/or the battery was used in equipment other than its intended use;
  • Defects or damages from improper storage, exposure to moisture or dampness, modifications, connections, misuse (including but not limited to exceeding manufacturer’s published weight limit), neglect, abuse, accident, alteration, improper installation, or other acts which are not the fault of EVOLV, including damage caused by dropping, blown fuses, spills of food or liquid.
  • Loss of screws or stripped screws due to over forcing.
  • Unauthorized service center repairs.
  • Product rusting, blemishes, and/or loss of colour due to sun exposure and usage.
  • Defects or malfunctions of the product not notified by the customer during the Warranty Period.
  • Any orders that have received a chargeback.
  • Products that have had their serial numbers removed or tampered with.

DISCLAIMER:

  • The customer understands the risk of serious injury or death in the operation of such products and shall agree to take the necessary precautions and exercise good judgement to avoid hazards and dangerous situations which may result in serious injury or death.
  • The customer shall agree to indemnify and hold harmless EVOLV from all injuries or death arising from the operation of the product.
  • The use of safety and protective gear such as bicycle helmets is strongly encouraged. And so is the use of Good Judgement.
  • The customer is advised to take the following precautions:
  • Do not ride on wet ground or in heavy rain;
  • Take corners slowly and look out for pedestrians;
  • Avoid potholes, curbs and debris on the ground;
  • Keep tires pumped to the specified pressure;
  • Dismount in places with heavy human traffic and push the scooter manually;
  • Service the product every 3 months on regular usage, 6 months for non-frequent usage;
  • Do not use products on public roads and respect local road regulations. 

HOW TO REQUEST SERVICE UNDER THIS LIMITED WARRANTY: 

To obtain performance of EVOLV to repair and/or replace the Product or its Components under this Limited Warranty, the customer must, during the Warranty Period:

  1. Contact support@ekomasina.com.
  2. Submit proof of purchase, along with a photo or video showing the claimed defect.
  3. The average repair time is 3-7 days, excluding shipping time to and from our service center. This warranty does not cover the shipping costs associated with the transportation of the scooter to and from our service center, and/or the shipping costs of warranty parts, and a fee will be charged for return shipping or pick-up and delivery service. and a fee will be charged for return shipping or pick-up and delivery service.

HX

Every HX e-scooter is covered by all-inclusive warranty against manufacturing defects in materials and/or workmanship for the lifetime service of the original owner. Warranty parts are shipped from China factory. HX Scooter warrants their unique models X6, X7, X8, X9, X10, X11 e-scooter, including all individual parts, is defective in material or workmanship as follows:

What Will We Do to Correct Problems with Your E-scooter?

If a component is deemed to be defective or damaged without user error we will issue a replacement part. We will assist you in replacing any defective part. We will replace any parts deemed to have been damaged during shipping. We will provide the owner a replacement product if the product can not be repaired after a reasonable number of tries as determined by HX KIXIN.

HX Scooter warranty covers:

Folding electric scooter factory HX Kixin OEM for various brands with model no. X6 to X10 scooter. The HX warrants these cool HX Electric Scooters to be free of major defects in material or workmanship to the original purchaser for a period of 12 Months from date of purchase and 15 Days return & refund upon receipt of the e-scooter.

Please note that free warranty is only applicable to INITIAL PURCHASES from the Eko Mašina. Please keep your original invoice to validate your purchase to access warranty services.

HX Scooter warranty does not cover:

  1. Normal wear and tear of any covered component or consumable parts, including but not limited to the tires, the kickstands, the saddles, the handlebars, the brake pads, the cable harnesses, the housing, the brake levers, the chains, and the mudguards;
  2. Scratches on the product caused by loose accessories during shipping;
  3. Protective coatings that develop wear and tear over time, unless failure has occurred due to a defect in materials or workmanship;
  4. Cosmetic damage on used products, including but not limited to scratches, dents, broken plastic on ports, and tire deformation due to expansion and contraction from temperature changes;
  5. Any damage or defect resulting from, but not limited to the user’s misuse, neglect, abuse, alterations, modification, improper assembly and/or damage to the product due to failure to follow instructions correctly provided by the user manuals;
  6. Any damage or defect caused in an accident or by use with a third-party component or product that does not meet the HX electric scooter specifications (please refer to the e scooter technical specifications section on the purchase page of each HX product);
  7. Any damage or defect caused by heavy exposure to water, improper storage, fire, liquid contact, earthquakes, or other external causes;
  8. Invoice inconsistency;
  9. If HX receives information from relevant public authorities that the product has been stolen and you cannot prove in any way that you are the authorized user of the product (e.g. receipt, invoice, or payment information for the product);
  10. Batteries are not under warranty when there is damage resulting from power surges, use of an improper charger, improper maintenance or other such misuses, normal wear or water damage, and normal battery deterioration, including the gradual decrease of battery capacity over the warranty period.

HOW TO REQUEST SERVICE UNDER THIS LIMITED WARRANTY: 

To obtain performance of HX Scooter to repair and/or replace the Product or its Components under this Limited Warranty, the customer must, during the Warranty Period:

  1. Contact at support@ekomasina.com.
  2. Submit proof of purchase, along with a photo or video showing the claimed defect.

IMMEDIATELY inspect your product(s) for damage. Freight damage claims are extremely time sensitive. We will not accept freight damage claims later than 10 days from receipt of product. Note any damage to your product(s) on the Bill of Lading before you and the driver sign-off on the shipment. HX will not replace any part without first seeing photos or video of the damaged part.

VMAX

VMAX offers an industry-leading 24-month warranty. Even after the 2 year warranty period, we're here to support you and make sure you get any replacement parts you may need. 

The following exceptions apply:

  • Normal wear and tear of parts, including:
  • Damage resulting from improper use
  • Damage due to modifications, accidents, or mishandling
  • Damage caused by external factors such as fire, dirt, or water
  • Damage caused by repairs performed by the user; repairs and maintenance should only be carried out by trained professionals
  • Damage caused by general wear and tear

Please refer to your manual for detailed warranty terms. If there are any discrepancies between this article and the manual, the manual takes precedence.
